Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to sign an annual contract?
A: No, we do not require you to have to commit to a yearly contract. We can provide services quarterly or yearly or at one time based on your needs. The only exception to this is with termite control.

Q: Why do I need an annual contract if I have termites?
A: In most cases, the termite treatment on your house includes a one-year termite protection warranty. This is due to state rules and regulations.

Q: What does my termite protection contract entail?
A: With a termite protection contract, we will inspect your house for termites annually. If we find evidence of termite activity then we will take appropriate measures, usually a treatment of the structure. You should not have to pay for any additional treatment to correct a termite problem; that cost is covered by your annual fee. Please note that a contract for termites and termite control is strictly for termites; pest control is a separate service.

Q: How do I know if I have termites?
A: Ways to check for signs of termite infestation are; Check molding and sheetrock for a "blistered" appearance. Does it break open easily? Do you see brown soil-colored debris on the wall where the termites have chewed through the covering? Tap on the wood with the handle of a screwdriver to listen the "hollow" or damaged spots. People often confuse winged termites with ants, which often swarm at the same time of year (March - May.) Termites can be differentiated by their straight antennae, uniform waist and wings of equal size. Other signs of infestation are earthen (mud) tubes (shown on our termite page) extending over foundation walls, support piers, sill plates, floor joists, etc.

Just let us know when you set your appointment.

A: Termites cause billions of dollars in damage each year. They primarily feed on wood, but also damage paper, books, insulation, and even swimming pool liners and filtration systems. Why take risks with your largest investment?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: How safe is your pest control?
A: In order to get the job done, some chemicals are necessary to kill unwanted bugs. We value upholding the safest and most technologically sound advanced methods of pest control. We use Adonis, Termidor, Boracare Powder, Bifen IT Insecticide to name a few.

Q: How do I choose a termite control company? Why is there such variance in price?
A: The company should be licensed by the Department of Agriculture or agency responsible for regulating termite control in the state. Membership in their state pest control association and/or National Pest Management Association suggests the company is an established firm with access to technical and training information needed to do the job correctly. Our license number is 687PW with the state of North Carolina.
